Teaching with AI Showcase: Call for Proposals
All are invited to submit a presentation proposal for the upcoming Triangle AI Summit – Teaching with AI Showcase. This event is an excellent opportunity for educators to share their innovative projects and demonstrate the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in educational settings.
Event Details
- Date: May 30, 2025
- Location: Washington Duke Inn & Conference Center, Durham, NC
- Time: 9 am – 4:30 pm – The showcase will be held from 1:30 pm – 3 pm
Though registration for the Summit is currently full, accepted Showcase presenters will be invited to attend the full Summit.
Presentation Requirements
We are seeking presentations in the form of demos or slideshows that showcase defined projects using AI for educational purposes. Your project should clearly demonstrate the application of AI in the classroom or other teaching venues, or in assignments and highlight the outcomes related to AI, student learning or academic administrative efficiency.
The demos will be held poster-session style in a concourse of the Conference Center, with attendees circulating among them. See the Summit schedule page for more information.
Submission Guidelines
- Title: Provide a clear and concise title for your presentation.
- Abstract: Submit an abstract that outlines the scope, significance, and evaluation process of your project. Ensure that your abstract includes relevant keywords and references. (250 words max.)
- Content: Your presentation proposal should include:
- A detailed description of the AI project.
- The educational purpose and objectives of the project.
- The methodology and tools used.
- The outcomes and impact of the project on students and learning.
- Any challenges faced and how they were addressed.
- Tech Needs: Please describe your plans for the set up at your demo in addition to a laptop, such as: will you be using a monitor or other equipment which will need to be placed on your table and need power, will you have a physical poster for which you will bring (or wish us to provide) an easel, etc.
- References: Include scholarly references that support your project. Ensure that references are recent and relevant
Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Relevance: The project’s relevance to educational purposes and AI applications.
- Clarity: The clarity and coherence of the proposal.
- Innovation: The originality and creativity of the AI project.
- Impact: The demonstrated outcomes and impact on education.
Submission Deadline: Please submit your presentation proposal by April 4, 2025.
